Context Boosting
Context Boosting gives the agent relevant project context before it starts the main work on your request. It is designed to reduce manual file references and help the agent understand the surrounding codebase earlier in the turn.
How it works
- The agent invokes the built-in Context Boosting tool at the start of a request.
- Supercode builds a size-limited project layout from supported source files and folders.
- The service returns either additional context or a no-boost result to the active agent turn.
A dedicated card in the Cursor conversation shows progress and remains as a compact history entry when the step completes. If the turn is cancelled, the step is marked as skipped.
Manage Context Boosting
For eligible accounts, Context Boosting is enabled by default. Open the Supercode menu and use the Context Boosting checkbox. The item is disabled when the current Cursor runtime cannot present the tool.
